It’s Time for the 2010 Ironman Canada Training Camp!

On July 23-July 25, TN Multisport will be headed to Penticton to take on the Ironman Canada Course. The camp will be led by TNM coaches who will be providing tips, strategies, and helpful guidelines to assist in your Ironman journey. Over the course of the weekend, athletes will be riding the entire bike course, becoming familiar with the flats out to Osyoos, the climb up legendary Richter Pass, the rollers headed towards the out and back, and finally the epic Tour De France-like Yellow Lake climb.

Let’s Talk About Hydration

Did you know that dehydration is the single largest contributor to fatigue when training or racing? Contracting muscles produce the force needed to propel you forward, whether that’s through water, on the bike, or on foot. But those working muscles also produce internal heat that must be dissipated quickly in order to avoid overheating. Sweating is a mechanism for ridding your body of heat, but it causes you to lose the very same fluids and the electrolyte sodium that you need in order to remain hydrated.
