Kim Pancoast, Volunteer Coach

Kim Pancoast started getting involved with triathlons in 2008 and has been a volunteer coach for TN Multisports since 2010. She competes in sprint and Olympic distance events. Before competing in triathlons, Kim was a collegiate middle distance runner for the University of Nebraska. After finishing her collegiate running career and taking a year off, she decided she needed a new challenge outside of just running. Her dad started training for triathlons in 2008 and suggested Kim join him. She has been hooked ever since competing in her first sprint triathlon at Lake Chelan. As an athlete, Kim’s biggest achievement was finishing 2nd at the Best of the US race in Orange County, California in 2009.

She joined TN Multisports to surround herself with other athletes who like to train and have fun, as well as to become a better swimmer and all around triathlete. Kim has organized successful run clinics and private run sessions, focusing on teaching proper biomechanics and pacing.  She specializes in coaching shorter distance races up to the half Ironman. In 2010 she coached athletes who placed in the top 5 overall in their age group.  Her running focus also makes her great in coaching for run events.
