Bio:
I’m a computer geek age grouper who’s tried Carmichael Training Systems, but once I met Teresa I never wanted to go back.
The hardest race I’ve done thus far was the 2005 Seafair Marathon. Before I was coached, I read “Marathons for Dummies” and just ran a lot to train. I got injured a couple weeks before the race and decided I wouldn’t run it. The night before in a bar I told everyone I was going to do it anyway. I bonked horribly and walked the last 6 miles with terrible cramps. Now that I’ve been coached by TNM, I understand my fueling needs and how to approach race day nutrition. It is also very useful to have an experienced person helping you with training workouts and making sure you don’t overtrain.
