Bio:
I was introduced to triathlons by my cousin whom I used to watch compete in them when I was just a kid. As an adult, I made completing a triathlon one of my life’s goals. When I saw an advertisement at the Seattle Athletic Club to come to an informational meeting on completing your first triathlon, I knew this was my opportunity! At 34, I achieved my goal of completing my 1st tri in Lake Chelan in 2004. I have been hooked on them ever since.
Over the last 5 years, I have been associated with Teresa’s triathlon groups primarily competing in sprint and a few Olympic distances. In 2010, I decided to take on the challenge of training for my first half-Ironman. With Teresa’s coaching and support, the team workouts, a supportive husband, and a great training partner, I completed the Boise 70.3 Half-Ironman in June, 2010. It was definitely the most challenging race in which I had ever competed!
