What an awesome Chilly Hilly ride it was this weekend! While the ride was hilly, the beautiful sunshine took the “chilly” part away! We had a fantastic turnout of athletes sporting their snazzy new TN bike kits zooming up and down the hills of Bainbridge.

The day started off a little chaotic with thousands of riders being herded into the ferry, but we managed to all connect somehow! Then after a quick ferry ride it was back down to our bikes where we shuffled around for a strategic exiting position. The minute the ferry men in yellow gave us the signal, we were off! Luckily no crashes occurred while elbowing our way through the multitude of fellow bikers!
After a few blocks of riding we spotted our fearless leaders Teresa and Mark, who had snuck ahead on an extra early ferry, waiting for us. We regathered there to talk strategy, well maybe not strategy but more to chit chat before we headed back into the steady stream of riders to start our 33 mile venture.
The group ready to go
With the sun beating down on our backs, the wind blowing by, and the breathtaking scenery, it was a day that couldn’t have been any better for a fabulous ride with fellow friends and teammates. It was so gorgeous you almost forgot about all those hills! (Well, maybe not forget about them, but it definitely made tackling them much more enjoyable!)
There may have been a few flying water bottles and a dropped chain, but all in all it was an amazing ride made even better with awesome teammates!
