Dry Land Swim Conditioning Now Available!

I’m happy to announce that TN Multisports is now offering dry land swim training classes! Years of swimming and repetitive laps is not enough to truly develop the muscles used in swimming. You can minimize time in the water by incorporating basic swim exercises in your strength training routines. Swimming uses slow twitch muscle fibers and endurance is key in the repetitive movements we make as triathletes, specifically in the water. Therefore, all of the exercises done in our dry land swim class are designed around higher reps, perfect technique and lighter resistance…but don’t let that fool you into thinking this stuff is “easy”!

Dry land swim conditioning is a unique, fun and one of a kind conditioning class that utilizes the Vasa swim trainer, medicine balls, free weights, medicine balls, and more. This class is designed to strengthen your core and improve your swimming strength, endurance and technique. The exercises are designed to make you a better swimmer and more conditioned athlete.

Classes are held every Thursday at 6:30 am and again at 7:15 am. We accept a maximum of 5 people per class, and the costs are as followed:

  • $15 per class for non-members
  • $10 per class for triathlon team members
  • $7 per class for monthly coaching athletes

Payment can be made individually or in packages of 10. Contact us to reserve a spot and sign up for a session. Don’t forget to check out our other training services, too–we offer personalized swim training that’s a perfect complement to dry land swim conditioning and will help you become a faster and stronger swimmer.
