Kirsten Nesholm came to TNM nearly a year ago with the goal of qualifying for Boston. In the past she had trouble going beyond the 16 mile mark as injuries, aches and pains would stop her from exceeding the distance. After months of recovering from injuries, following a plan and “listening” to her body, she went well beyond 16 miles and paced her runs to exceed her goal of a 3:45 qualifying time. She used the guidance of Inewmed, Footworks PT, her fiance at Excellence Fitness, Road Runner Sports and her TNM coach to help her get beyond her previous barriers.
The Portland Marathon came and went and left Kirsten with a huge smile on her face as she surpassed her goal and ran a 3:38. Her plan was executed and she delivered what many would term “a perfect day.” Come this April, Kirsten will be Boston bound, and she’ll be healthy, happy, and ready to run! Congratulations, Kirsten!
